Tantauco Park is an impressive combination of landscapes, native flora and fauna, with the amazing works of Chilean architect, Edward Rojas, who only uses woods that blend in with the natural environment, creating public spaces that add to the area’s tourism industry.
This area seeks to preserve and develop a sustainable territory of great natural value for future generations, transforming itself into a national and international reference for conservation and sustainable tourism development.
This place, located on the “Chaiguata” site (defined by Chile’s CONAMA, National Environment Commission), is declared a priority spot for the conservation of wildlife.
Its flora is mostly found in the Valdivian Forest, however, there are also large areas of native woodland.
Its wonderful fauna never ceases to amaze. The Chilote Huillin (“River cat”), which is unfortunately endangered, and Darwin’s frog are two species that we can find in this location.
